Abstract
Future wars will be fought by agile, mobile, and fully flexible units, indicating that upcoming conflicts will be capability-centric. The foundation of the Islamic Republic of Iran's defense doctrine is based on "producing tools of power" for "active deterrence" and "innovative and effective defense." Iran's existing capabilities in designing and manufacturing various unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are integral to its defense strategy. Today, the ability to produce and employ various weapons is essential for transforming a country into a regional and global military, political, and economic power. Aircraft and other aerial vehicles are among the most important and effective weapons for defending one's territory and conducting offensive operations against enemies. Utilizing UAV capabilities in future battles will significantly enhance deterrence and military strength. This research aims to examine the status of scientific production in the field of military UAVs. It is an applied, bibliometric study using scientific database analysis techniques. Data and keywords relevant to the research topic from 2015 to 2025 were searched and evaluated in a scientific database. For data analysis and visualization, the Vosviewer software was employed. This article extracts and evaluates technology clusters and emerging innovations in the military UAV sector using data mining and bibliometric studies from the ScienceDirect database.
