An overview of the aims and nature of warfare in Islam and other religions and schools

Abstract

War exists with human beings and merged with human lif. Throughout history, there have been many schools of thought that have tried to eliminate war or to curtail it. Some schools praised the war. Islam can not be indifferent to this important issue as a religion which is a comprehensive and complete plan for humanitarian life. The question of this article is: What is the purpose of Islam from war? and What is the purpose of other religions in the war. It seems that the difference between the view of Islam and other schools and religions is more in the purpose of the war. To measure this hypothesis, we try to compare the purpose of the war in Islam with other religions. Our research method will be a comparative method. The findings of the article are that Islam and other religions do not coincide in the ultimate goal of the war. Therefore, the difference in purpose also has different functions in how to fight.
