Border security has always been one of the most important concerns of governments. Any insecurity at the border can disrupt the important internal systems of the country. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effective drivers for improving the status of the former city in the development of border security. The type of research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical (survey) in terms of method. To collect data, two library methods, field methods and researcher-made questionnaire tools were used. The statistical population included 150 people from specialized groups who were knowledgeable about the issues and challenges of the Pishin city. Sampling was done in a targeted way and 108 people were selected. The dimensions and items were extracted through literature review and research background, and statistical tests and analysis of variance were used to analyze the data. Among the factors and drivers affecting the promotion of Shahrpishin, the key factor and driver that has the greatest impact on the development of border security in Pishin is the factors of the human geography of Shahrpishin, which should be considered in the development of border security in this border city.
