Designing a model for developing faculty participation in management and leadership Armed Forces Universities

Abstract

The main goal of the research is to show what dimensions, components, and indicators the development of faculty members' participation in the management and leadership of armed forces universities has and how the relationships between each of their components can be determined. The present research is a developmental research in terms of its purpose and an applied research in terms of its method. The statistical population of the research includes scientific experts in the field of leadership and management and managers, deans, and faculty members of armed forces universities. The sample size included 24 faculty members and scientific experts of armed forces universities. The sampling method was purposeful and the data collection method was also structured by using a structured interview. The research findings indicated that the participation of faculty members in the management and leadership of universities falls into three categories of organizational factors, individual factors, and environmental factors. Components such as independence and job responsibility, individual motivation, financial and economic factors, age of faculty members, self-belief, and self-confidence in the area of individual factors; Laws and regulations, leadership style, organizational culture and belonging fall under organizational factors, and social and cultural infrastructure, political environment, and social environment fall under environmental factors.
